Sodium alginate water content determination method

一 . principle :Sodium alginate sample at 105 ± 2 ℃, under the conditions of atmospheric pressure drying, until constant weight lost quality of water.

二 . Instruments: Glass bottle: diameter of 60 mm ~ 70 mm, 35 mm high the following ; Electric heating constant temperature drying oven

三 . Measuring steps:
1. The constant weight method
(1) .Weighing bottle constant weight :
With clean the glass of the weighing bottle, put in 105 ℃ + 2 ℃ oven, cap inclined at the edge of the bottle, drying 1 h ~ 1.5 h cover cap and taken out, placed in the dryer cooling within 30 min after weighing (0.0001 g). Before and after 30 min in baking, cooling load, until two of poor quality is not greater than 0.0005 g for constant weight.

(2).Determination of :
Use the constant weight of the weighing bottle says taking sodium alginate sample 2 g to 3 g (called a quasi to 0.0001 g). Diagonal branch of the lid to bottle, in 105 ℃ to + 2 ℃ baking in the oven for 4 h, the cover cap, cooling 30 min in the dryer, weighing. Again same bake for 1 hour, cooling load, until the quality difference between the first and the second is not greater than 0.002 g for constant weight.

2. Rapid method
(1) .Weighing bottle constant weight :
With clean the glass of the weighing bottle, put in 105 ℃ + 2 ℃ oven, cap inclined at the edge of the bottle, drying 1 h ~ 1.5 h cover cap and taken out, placed in the dryer cooling within 30 min after weighing (0.0001 g). Before and after 30 min in baking, cooling load, until two of poor quality is not greater than 0.0005 g for constant weight.

(2).Determination of :
Use has been the constant weight of the weighing bottle says taking sodium alginate sample 2 g to 3 g (called a quasi to 0.0005 g), diagonal branch of the lid to bottle, in 105 ℃ to + 2 ℃ baking in the oven for 5 h, the cover cap, cooling 30 min in the dryer, weighing.

四.The results calculated:
